My boy Thomas bought me a beer last night at the gansevoort
Everytime I see him I think of Tom Tom club. Those white people are good. soo good.

i just saw this for the first time. i feel it. in fact this was written for me.
Mordechai/ Jack Spade
I was supposed to buy one of these for my best friend for his birthday but didnt. I saw a post about this on chompchomp which they got from Men.Style.com and recommend any gentleman to cop one because their super sexy.
Senior prom was the last time we wore a boutonniere, but a new take on the classic if oft neglected accessory might have us reconsidering. Today, Jack Spade is introducing a limited line of 24, all made by hand from fly-fishing lures—a significant improvement on that wilted carnation we bought at the grocery store. The feathered collection is the brainchild of Mordechai Rubinstein—a.k.a. Mister Mort—and it was inspired by a recent fishing excursion to the Great Lakes. So did he have any luck with the fish? “No, not so much,” he says. Well, at least the trip wasn’t a total waste.
Mister Mort for Jack Spade boutonnieres, $45 each, available at Jack Spade, 56 Greene St., New York, (212) 625-1820, jackspade.com

Farrakhan Says
Posted Oct. 17, 2007 -- Gliding through such diversified topics as global warming, the war in Iraq, the power of hip-hop music and the Michael Vick saga, the Rev. Louis Farrakhan rocked a jam-packed Atlanta Convention Center Tuesday in a rare public appearance to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the Million Man March.
As usual, the main theme of the Nation of Islam leader was responsibility – the responsibility that all people have toward maintaining a peaceful the world; the responsibility that African Americans have to give back to their communities; the responsibility that Black men have to strengthen their families; and even the responsibility that humans have to be kind to animals.
"Politics and the racial environment [are] threatening the human family," said Farrakhan, 74, who has made few public appearances since being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2000 and said to be in failing health. "But Black males, in particular, are endangered. Our attitudes, our ignorance, our savagery are all lending to a plan — a conspiracy to make the Black man, not endangered, but extinct. ... If God doesn't intervene, we will be extinct."
He said that Black men were created by God to take a stand. "The masses of our people are in terrible condition and are suffering and are becoming extinct; we have to find a better way of addressing the problems of our people," Farrakhan said during his two-hour-plus speech. Oprah Winfrey may be one of the richest women in the world, he said, but 37 million people are living in poverty, one in three of whom is Black.
"Diddy might have his own clothing line and a Manhattan address, but Blacks are moving into prison at four times the rate of Blacks in South Africa during the apartheid era," Farrakhan said. "Tiger Woods' face might be on every billboard, but 340,000 Blacks are homeless in America on any given night."
He said that rapper T.I., who was arrested on federal gun charges shortly before he was to appear at the BET Awards to receive honors for the Best CD of the Year, was jailed mainly because his music is influencing White kids, who buy the lion’s share of rap and hip-hop music.
And about Michael Vick: "I know our brother broke the law. God himself is displeased, because he has given us dominion over his creatures and he doesn't want us to abuse them for sport … but they didn't have to come down on the brother like that. He is young, Black and super rich. And all of those White children were wearing his jersey. White people were losing control of their children to Black sports and entertainment figures, and they can't take it."
There are things much worse than dog-fighting, Farrakhan said. "What is worse?" he asked, "to send a recruiter into Black and Hispanic neighborhoods to offer you money to come into the armed forces to go to Iraq and Afghanistan for political reasons to kill people?"- Bet.Com/news

Get your mind right
So I recently moved to Chicago in attempts to get my life together and remove the mental and physical clutter that was driving me up the fucking wall at home. im homesick as hell which makes me believe soon, real soon when learn to manage my lifestyle in a way were I can get by without smoking a pack of Newports a day Im going home. I started turoring 8th grade with my girl Hananne at a School over in the south side in a community called little Village and God DAMN did a learn a massive shitload of shit from working with kids only for a short while... where you got to have your mind right, theres no slippin up, and you need to exude prepared-ness and proper preparation to the max. so. Long story long... Ive decided to list the shit that'll keep shit together...er at least for me..
1.Keep your resting environment at a peaceful volume- Your home needs to be clutter free, so when you wind down from a stressfull day, you come home to a mentaly soothing area. A clean room, and a good relationship with those at home with you needs to be established and existant. If you got all types of crazy stress in your house, how the hell are you going to ever wind down from the chaos of everday life?
2.Dont forget your body- Stress alone can tear that ass up. Take care of your mind and body. By eating and sleeping well, and not negleting stuff thats eating up at you mentally, your adding years to your lifespan...shit nuff said.
3.Save your God damned money- As obsessive as it may sound... my higschool economics teacher made us engage in this lil activity, where we docmented every single penny spent in a span of two weeks. I never did it, cus i never went to class haha but, ive been documenting it as of recently.. Ive realized the money I spent in NY on cabs in one week, could supply food for a small underpriveleged village for a fucking billion years.
4. Dont beleive the hype- Keep your eyes and ears open to the world around you but yo. Dont stress about shit going on with other people and keeping up with shit, In the end.. were all human, and we all shit, and that shit stinks best believe! Dont be too quick to react on hype shit... evaluate everyhing and dont believe everything you see/hear!
5. CUT THAT BITCH OFF!- Yall ever watch the Rev x? hes a legend. ok sike but one truthful thing ive extracted from his illness is the term 'cut that bitch off' ... cut of anyone or anything holding you the fuck back because yo... just observe the wise and elderly and the past... years ago there were things that were most most most important to us.. that dont mean shit now so matter how much it hurt cut them negative ties off! If theyre that important, those aspects will be back.
6. Live for yourself- think about the shit you personally really want to do in life. all the shit you always said you wanted to do. make a list. take the most important things... and plan out how to make it a reality.... life gets hectic, shit alot of time doesnt work out how you plan... but yo.. if you dont try to achieve some of your goals.. the what-ifs pile the fuck up.
andd... booom! shit falls in to place.

George Carlin, the Cynic
“If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten”
“Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity”
“The next time they give you all that civic bullshit about voting, keep in mind that Hitler was elected in a full, free democratic election”
"Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man…living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money."
"Isn’t it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do “practice”? "
"I never fucked a ten, but one night, I fucked five twos. "
"Have you noticed that most of the women who are against abortion are women you wouldn’t want to fuck in the first place? There’s such balance in nature."
"I’ve never seen a homeless guy with a bottle of Gatorade."
"The planet is fine. The people are fucked. "
